That’s a great question!
The official roadmap is available on our homepage, but let me elaborate on it. Here’s an overview of my current vision for Libernesia. Let me know what you think!
The Principles:
Measuring Success
Although measuring popular support can be exciting, I do not equate Libernesia's success with its number of citizens. I would much rather define success by how free the world feels to its people. How freely can they move? How easily can they start a business? How much of their productive output do they get to keep, rather than having it spent by a government on their behalf? This might seem counterintuitive to some, but a world where people feel completely liberated—so much so that Libernesia is no longer needed—is the best possible outcome for Libernesia.
Filling in the Gaps of Existing Macronations
Libernesia exists as an incubator for political reform. I believe the will of the people can be better realized at a local level, with far less coercion than the current status quo. Every day we operate freely, we prove that a different way of living is possible—one that values trust, voluntary exchange, and personal sovereignty. We aim to achieve this by providing private and voluntary alternatives to government institutions. When macronations adopt less coercive policies inspired by our example, we succeed.
Being There When People Are Ready to Join Us
We are currently in a very small ideological minority. Through countless conversations, I have seen that some people benefit greatly from the redistributive nature of nation-states, others value the perceived security of a large state, and many simply do not feel the need for something like Libernesia. Some even find it risky to join due to potential consequences from their nation-state. Libernesia is not about convincing people to join. I would much rather build a small community of individuals who truly understand freedom than attract a large crowd that seeks to impose nation-state-like expectations or political agendas. I also want to avoid attracting opportunists and career politicians. We do not have the means to fight a disinformation war if people decide to turn public opinion against us. Instead, we will patiently wait for people to recognize the oppressive nature of their macronations—and when they do, we’ll welcome them with open arms.
Immediate Objectives and Practical Measures
Digital, Privacy-Oriented ID Issuance
This will be implemented directly on libernesia.org, allowing API integrations with other platforms. It will serve as a working alternative to government-issued IDs and passports.
Ad-Hoc Cities
We will continue organizing gatherings where people can enjoy themselves, connect with like-minded individuals, and build meaningful relationships.
Economic Opportunities for Citizens and Outsiders
As our projects develop, they will naturally create economic opportunities for both our citizens and those outside of Libernesia who choose to participate.
A Richer Culture
We will continue celebrating our traditions, fostering a positive impact, and inspiring the world through our peaceful philosophy. Whether through Freedom Lights, ad-hoc cities, boat trips, music, or arts, we aim to make Libernesia a vibrant cultural force.
Visiting Libernesia and Installing Our First Landmark
We are planning a well-documented visit to Libernesia, during which we will install a small landmark. We also encourage other citizens to visit the area in the future.
Libernesia's Roadmap Consists of 3 Key Phases:
Phase 1 (Ongoing) – Establishing a strong ideological foundation and building essential digital tools, such as our privacy-oriented ID system.
Phase 2 (Short-term) – Expanding our presence through ad-hoc cities, economic initiatives, and fostering a richer culture through events and creative works.
Phase 3 (Long-term) – Establishing physical meet-up points, encouraging more people to visit Libernesia, and creating a long-lasting model of voluntary governance.
